**Please be sure that your child practices reading their book in the "Book Bag"section of their red folder and is always returning it to the folder when not being read.**
 

Please collect Box Tops for Education!  The box tops can be found on participating products that you have at home. They are collected once per month!

Please remember to check your child's red PAWS folder every day for important notes, information, the daily behavior sheet, your turn on the snack calendar, your child's reader to practice, and class work.  This folder needs to come to school every day!  Also remember to put a change of clothes in a Ziploc bag (labeled with your child's name) in your child's backpack.  You never know when a change of clothes will be needed!

You can find almost anything you need pertaining to CISD and Galatas on this website.
*Spend at least 15 minutes reading with your child every day.  

Your child will bring home homework every week!  Remember to have your child only complete the section corresponding to the day of the week.  The homework should only take a few minutes and is about building good study habits as well as reviewing previously learned information!  The homework is due on Friday.  If it is complete and on time your child will earn a Happy Stick! :)

The snack calendar is in your child's red PAWS folder.  Please check to see when you are responsible for the class snack.
**  When it is your turn to bring the snack for the week, please keep the following in mind:
***We do have peanut allergies in our classroom!!- Please don't send anything with nuts or peanut butter
Please do not send fruit snacks as our snack.  They are mostly sugar, and not very filling.
Kid favorites:  Goldfish, chocolate and regular animal crackers, Chocolate Teddy Grahams, Chex-Mix, Cheez-its, Pretzels, Wheat Thins, string cheese, spreadable cheese and crackers, Rice Krispie Treats, cheese popcorn, bananas, grapes, pealed clementines, baby carrots, sliced apples
***Remember NO homemade treats are allowed***
